Taken - Chapter 4

A/N  Last chapter - some lighter moments in this one; everything's not all better, and won't be for awhile, but the Protectobots are on the mend.  Not completely happy with the pacing or ending of this chapter - some leftover NaNo rambly too, but I hope you enjoy!

Hee hee... sneaky crazy Air Raid... intentionally hurting himself to get into Medbay to see the Pbots. X3 Kinda sweet, as Wheeljack noted, from the concern for the Pbots… but stupid too. *lol* But hey, it worked. XD And WOW? Silverbolt sneaking around, and getting tossed into the brig? Heh. Worried/concerned Big Brother instincts working overtime. xD

The bit with Groove was definitely sweet. :3 And it’s cute, that Ratchet and Wheeljack have been working together so long that Ratchet can interpret `Jack’s random waving. XD

*FACEPALMS as Flight spills the beans* Oh, Flight… you goof. -__- ADORABLE goof, but still a goof. :/ *WINCES as the arc welder hits Air Raid on the helm* Oh, c’mon, Ratch… Yeah, it was a REALLY dumb thing to do… but… he MEANT well. ^_^; ... In a… very crazy sorta way. *lol* At least Streetwise got his wish. XD

*huggles all the Protectobots* They’ve been through so MUCH…! But at least the healing’s all started… heh. Sweet of Flight to give Aid a special one of his rocks. :3

If you think Air Raid's crazy now, you should have seen him when he was a sparkling, lol. It's a wonder he ever made it to his first vorn! I think Silverbolt's Big Brother 'O Meter has gone completely off the charts, although what really is worrying me is Slingshot - he's been entirely too quiet lately, and he's much better at the sneaking than Silverbolt...

*cuddles baby!Groove*

I've got the "random waving" thing going on with some of my co-workers - I'll be walking around making little motions with my hand, and they can tell whether I'm looking for the stapler or the scissors or spray bottle for cleaning the fishtanks and hand me the appropriate item XD

Fireflight, oh my - whatever would we do without him? ^_^ <3 Poor Air Raid - Ratchet was just NOT IN THE MOOD for any funny business whatsoever (although Ratchet's helm hits are always carefully calculated to be just the right force to trigger the "emergency reset" processor response, and they don't really hurt - it just looks impressive ^_~) Happy Streetwise is happy :D (He ( ... )

Oh, wow. What a great wrap-up to this storyline. I love that Street got to see Ratchet throwing something (even if it was at Air Raid), and Fireflight was sheer love throughout this whole thing, and the med bay scenes were so cute and yet so heartbreaking.

Blades, ZOMG, powering up his weapons AT RATCHET! Holy smokes, that was a powerful scene. You handled it brilliantly, but it was tough to read because the hurt was so there.

I'm so glad you posted this story, it's wonderful. Angsty, yet, but the comfort is lovely. Thank you.

Thank you so much ^_^ Streets was very happy - Air Raid wasn't making it up! And Ratchet in ninja-toss medic mode is definitely a magnificent sight to behold ;D (And Streets kept First Aid entertained - and from trying to go back to work to soon - by trying to teach him to throw wrenches at a target on the wall from his berth. Aid did it mostly to humor his brother, but eventually, after many many vorns, he gets pretty good ^^) Fireflight is all that is adorable and snuggable in this world <3

Poor Blades - when I was writing this he seemed relatively ok through most of it, until all of the sudden he definitely WAS NOT OK AT ALL. Luckily Ratchet has a lot more patience than he generally likes to admit, especially when someone's really hurting like that.

Thanks for saying that! I'm glad I finally got courage enough to put it up, too - it's such a difficult and heavy topic, so it's good to hear the comfort is...comforting ^^

Yup. Ratchet's definitely the mommy. XD The enunciation in a single line that can have you quivering in mortal terror without him having ever raised his voice at all and throwing things like a Southerner chasing people out of her kitchen (speaking from experience - can never have enough wooden spoons to throw).

Poor Air Raid! Ah well, the road to the Pit is paved with good intentions, neh?

Groove's so cute... They're all so damned cute! I want one! D=

Yeah - it's not so much the volume with Ratchet, although he can yell with the best of them, it's the emphasis, lol ^_~ Wooden spoon throwing experience? As the thrower or the throwee, pray tell? :D

Poor Raid *hugs him* He's been through crazier stuff though - this is a pretty mild crazy stunt, by the Air Raid scale of crazy standards ^^

You can't have just one - they come as a set! :D

I've chased my husband out of my kitchen many a times with my spoons - damn clingy man needs to keep out from underfoot when I'm cooking. >=T Fortunately for him, my aim's not as deadly as Ratchet's - it usually bounces off the wall or his leg or something (in fact, my aim kinda sucks).

Mildly crazy, perhaps, but it still ended at Ratchet so... XD Though I guess I'd say the ends justified the means. He did accomplish his task of getting in and making sure everyone's relative okay. *salutes* Good job, soldier. Way to take one for the team.

Dunno if I could handle a whole set - I wouldn't say they're high-maintenance except right before recharge, but I dunno if I could give all five the kind of attention they needed. Ah well, best to leave them to Wheeljack and Ratchet, not to mention their big brothers that they can snuggle with. I doubt they'd fit in this lil' house anyway XD

If you think Air Raid's crazy now, you should have seen him when he was a sparkling, lol.

>.> Will we get to see baby!aerials? You make them ( ... )

Ah yes - no smoochin' the cook less'n you want the sauce to scorch! XD

Air Raid: Thank you! See, a least someone appreciates all my hard work and sacrifice.

Yeah, you'd have to give them a job to do. A big job. Like rebuilding Haiti - that would keep them busy for awhile ^^ *sigh* Wish I could turn them loose over there...

I'd love to write some baby!aerials, but my backstory for them is still pretty vague and handwavey (and they do a lot more squabbly-bickery kinds of things than the P-bots, especially as sparklings, which I find kind of challenging to write). We'll see though - never know when inspiration might strike!

Yeah, Blades had a rough moment there. *hugs* He's a little traumatized, understandably, but he's gonna be ok too, eventually.

Yeah, last chapter, alas, but now it's your turn to write some P-bots, yes? :D

Aw, thank you so much ^_^

Yeah, everything's not magically hunky dory, but on the other hand - there will be scars, but...the pieces do get picked up, eventually, and they do find a way to reset their view of the world and the wrongs and the rights in it, and appreciate all the more deeply the good things in their own existence. I think that insight into the Stunticons' lives was one of the hardest things for them to come to terms with.

Poor Silverbolt - he's usually the one bailing the rest of his brothers out of the brig. Fireflight's very attached to his rocks, so it was a noble gift indeed ^_^ Blades, yeah. He kinda broke my heart there, too.

Streets got his wish! :D The others thought it was awesome, and immediately offered themselves as guinea pigs so First Aid could learn to do it too (First Aid insisted on using a target for the first five vorns, until he got the hang of it, 'cause if you do it wrong you could hurt somebody! ^_~)

Thankee again! ^_^
