Batch of three babies and then six more from another rehabber who had to go on a monthlong trip out of state - three of them escaped before I could get them in a house with a lid. Have rounded up two; one is still at large somewhere in the living room.
Three of the four older opossum babies (number four is under the towel).
Lone baby bunny who surprised me by doing great - eating lots of dandelions, should be ready to release in a few more days.
Baby chipmunk in a milk coma - the rest of the time he is very chipmunky and wriggly and hilarious, and he hates having his face washed, like a lot of babies, and squeaks grumpily and adorably the whole time.
Baby raccoon who had a couple of seizures the first day (was found with dead sibling in yard) I was thinking he might have distemper which is not good news, but it's been two weeks and he hasn't had any more and has been doing great - eating and pooping and doing all the normal baby raccoon things. Got his first shots on board, too, just in case.
And then he acquired a buddy earlier this week, slightly older guy who was found wet and cold and starving, following people around in one of our other parks. I suspect someone had been raising him and released him in the park - he knew exactly what to do with a bottle right off the bat, and usually it takes a day or two for them to get the hang of it when they're this old. Doing great now, and his new little brother thinks he's the coolest climbing toy evar :D
