Spring!
Went hiking yesterday in not-my-park, found some spring:
Zigzag salamander
Spring beauties
Snow trillium
Salt-n-peeper or harbinger of spring
Chorus frog
Two-lined salamander
Ordered a pair of new Keens - they're expensive but I love the wide toe box, and since that's pretty much all I wear except for a few days out of the year, the soles get compacted and lose their cushioning after about a year. Noticed my feet were starting to get sore at work, so got this new squishy pair - cheaper than a podiatrist, anyway. And what better way to break them in than on muddy spring trails!
