(no subject)
Took some time today to catch up on some administrative stuff and update my master fic list, had fallen pretty behind: Master Fic List DW and Master Fic List LJ - wow, I've written a lot of stuff! I have impressed my own self, lol.
Started posting a few things to ff.net, for auld lang syne (and also apparently weird things are afoot at Ao3? Not that I expect it to all go poof or anything, but still, never hurts to back things up ^_~) - it's been an even longer while there! Like a couple years I think.
I have a carpet cleaning machine! Got it on sale for half price, it's already been borrowed by sis-in-law's sister, lol - I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but hopefully when I get it back I can start tackling all the cat barf stains and bunny stains and muddy shoe stains and opossum stains and...well, you get the picture. Alarming carpets are alarming.
Got a bit of a scratchy throat since yesterday - niecelet and rest of family were all getting over colds. Doesn't seem to be getting too bad though - just progressing to a slight itchy chest cough rather than full blown stuffy nose and the works, so hopefully immune system is beating it into submission.
Skeleton kitty is eating two cans of cat food a day, but you can still feel every vertebra. Mom has offered to take her, even though she got hissed at yesterday when mom tried to pet her (I'm sure kitty will warm up quickly though - she's super cuddly when the spirit moves her, just not too sure about this new person). I've still got her quarantined - still not entirely sure there's not something else weird going on - she doesn't seem to groom herself very well, and her hind legs kind of...sway sometimes - very subtle, but she has trouble jumping on the bed - maybe muscle atrophy? There was absolutely no muscle on her when she first arrived. Now that she's stronger, might take her in for the full work up at the vet and maybe shots if she's up to it.
