It is so clear here, just how wounded First Aid has been from his brothers' disappearance, the severed connection. He has managed to be so competent and wonderful, but huge parts of himself are just blocked right now.
This is such a great scene. Fantastic job of that whole "showing rather than telling" thing that can be so tricky in writing. I'm very wibbly.
Yeah, Aid's been walking around with four fifths of his soul blocked away, at least to his conscious processor - at soul level, of course, they never really left him ^^

It's good news, but Aid's processor just kinda lost all of it's cope, poor guy. Optimus can always use more hugs yes! And Aid, as usual hasn't quite noticed he's walking wounded, especially if he thinks there's someone else that needs comforting. Twin sammich, very toasty, yep ^_^
