Snowed In! Whoo Hoo!

They're saying10 inches on the news, but I think where I am it's closer to 12 - and it's still coming down like gangbusters! They don't plow the roads in my neighborhood, so I'm effectively trapped until some of the bigger trucks tamp things down a bit and I can get my (massively long) driveway shoveled.

Happily, the park is closed anyway, so I don ( Read more... )

Snow! There is lots of it, yes? ^_^

And yes you should sleep very well tonight! Just don't freeze your fingers off! (That would be kinda bad, I should think)

Yes! There's lots and lots and LOTS of it! ^_^ Biggest snowfall my area has seen since 1996 they're sayin' on TV. Some of the snowdrifts in my driveway were at least 2 feet deep - took 5 or 6 shovelfulls to reach pavement sometimes, but luckily the snow is still all soft and light and fluffy, and didn't get the ice on top that they had to the south.

Finger freezing - that would be bad! Actually, you stay pretty warm shoveling - I finally took off my gloves and hat and coat, even though it was only 20F or so. I'm all nice and cozy in my little house right now, and the skunkies will keep me warm in any event ;)

*points* HEY! New icon! I like it! ^_^

Just in the last month, my captive-bred skunk, Stella, has started crawling in to bed with me in the morning and curling up on top of my feet - usually a few minutes before the alarm goes off, and then I have to wake her up, poor baby, just when she gets all cozy...

(who is Crowley? *is quite possibly extremely clueless*)

Awwwww. *goes melty over Skunk*

(Nah, not really, not many people have heard of it. Crowley is a character from Good Omens, a book by Terry Pratchett about the apocolypse with a surprisinly humorous spin. Crowley's a fallen angel/demon who works as a field agent for Hell, he's also friends with Heaven's field agent, an angel names Aziraphale. It's an awesome book and I'm pimping it to everybody that I can ^_^ )
