It has to do with the fact that I need to be more of a controlling bitch (in all aspects of life- school, job, family and friends related) and am not doing a good job of it.

I should have eaten the damn marzipan animals as a kid instead of feeling sorry for them. Thats a bad analogy, though. I think marzipan tastes bad.

and i wouldn't make a point of pissing him off so much as i'd make points that would undoubtedly lead any ethical person to pissed-off-ness or possibly moral nirvana. it's a fine line.

That sort of makes sense. Worth keeping in mind is that you don't necessarily have to be a bitch or domineering or anything to be mistress of your own destiny. Being a pushover and being an asshole both tend to speak to a certain lack of control and agency in life.

Of course I don't know anything about the specifics, so I could be missing the point. But yeah.
