SMILE
a few great things happened this week:
1. my portfolio review was on tuesday morning. mine was the first portfolio of the day. I didnt have any printing issues which i was really worried about and my portfolio was accepted! I still think i have had the best review of anyone (minus 1) whose review i've watched. The judges said i have a really strong body of work with 4 portfolios within this one to build on and get work from. They all thought i had a clear artistic vision and consistency throughout my portfolio.
2. after my portfolio had been reviewed and a few of the other students reviews had taken place, one of my teachers told me that one of the judges, Skip Cohen, was looking for me and didnt want me to get away and to meet him at lunch. So at lunch i approached Skip and he told me that he really loved my personal abandoned work and that over the next 5 or so years i need to continue the project and bring him a portfolio of my abandoned images. He said that when he thinks i am ready he is going to get me an editor, a publisher, and a writer to get me a fine art book!!
HOLY SHIT I JUST DIED
so basically a few of my dreams have come true. Not to mention...
3. today is one month for dylan and i, we got chinese and movies, had some jack daniels with iced tea in wine glasses and smoked a blunt on the futon mattress on my bedroom floor. i swear he gets more perfect every day.
