I didn't do much during the 1980s. Mostly I stayed in Fabletown. I didn't like the music or the clothes. Although Rapunzel, she was a fan of the hair, probably because she could get away with not cutting her hair until about noon most days. And I mean, what was there for me to do? I had gone to high school almost twenty years before then and I wasn't exactly aching to go back.

Although apparently I missed a really good New York club scene. And people really like the music, too. It all sounded kind of...fake to me. All that electronic stuff. It just didn't seem like real music, but then I'm sort of old-fashioned that way.

Once I wasn't old-fashioned. In the twenties, all the way through the forties, I was always looking for new music. I was really entranced by jazz and blues and swing. It was all so modern and fresh! It made me passionate. I was sad when it started dying out.

And now it's just hard to keep up with music. Everything moves too quickly. I guess that's the problem with the internet. But I know that the Farm animals would go kind of crazy without it, so I can't complain too much.
