Ewwww!
Microbiology lab is fun! :D
I inoculated a nutrient agar plate with random swabs from around the apartment, and here's what grew!
1: Door knob (not bad..)
2: Kitchen sink (That's mostly fungi with a few bacterial colonies, too. Ewwww)
3: Keyboard (I'm pretty proud that nothing grew; I even swabbed asdw and the spacebar!)
4: Bathroom sink faucet handle (That's just disheartening. Those are bacterial colonies; I am never turning the sink off with my hand again.)
(The white stuff on the left and right sides of the petri dish is just tape.. didn't want the scary fungi and bacteria escaping! Cuz then our apartment would be gross. Yeah.)
If you think this is bad, just be thankful I didn't take a picture of the plate with inoculations from one of the campus bathrooms. It was unbelievable. O.o
