Kazuo enters the dream and looks around. He is just an observer in this. It doesn't matter to him what happens to the girl and he merely watches what is happening. Though such a thing might not seem normal when it comes to reactions, he doesn't seem to care about that either.

He is merely testing this dreamwalking thing since he has the opportunity. It is something to do.

Walking closer for a better look, he tilts his head to the side. Hm. Perhaps she'll die.

Since the additional presence is only observing, Muraki takes no notice and continues with his night. The girl can't outrun him forever, especially when he grabs her by the hair and tugs her in close enough that he can whisper in her ear. Whatever it is he says, it's enough to make her freeze up while he slips a scalpel into her stomach for the first time.

Blood first oozes around it and then pours once he removes the blade. He smiles and the light overhead reflects off the blood, making it seem almost black for an instant. The next time he stabs her, she finally screams.

Kazuo tilts his head to the side. She screaming now? He cannot figure out why she would. But then again, he can't understand much of what is happening aside from the fact that Muraki is killing her. Which does not bother him really. Everyone dies eventually.

Moving closer still, he practically stands right next to them as he looks at the blood that is flowing.

She's screaming because being stabbed repeatedly hurts and she doesn't want to die. In fact, now she's begging to be saved, saying Muraki can do whatever he wants to her as long as she lives.

For an instant, it looks like Muraki's about to consider her offer and simply enjoy her body as it bleeds but not hurt her further. But then he notices the boy next to him and turns. "What are you doing here?"

"Watching you." Kazuo lets his eyes follow the path of a droplet of blood as it falls to the ground. The display is horrific yet he hasn't flinched or looked away once. All he has done is watch. Whatever the doctor wishes to do will not bother him at all.

So he looks back at the man's face, just waiting to see what happens next.

"You could help out if you like," he offered. "I don't want to exhaust myself too much by using a lot of power on such a useless doll."

Those words make her whimper and struggle in Muraki's arms. She insists that she's neither of those things; she's just a nurse who was doing her duty by reporting suspicious action.

In response, Muraki slashes her cheek open and blood spatters onto his jacket.

"Alright."

Ignoring the words of the woman, Kazuo moved closer to look down at her. He watched her for a moment or so before grabbing her hair to force it up so he could look straight into her eyes.

"Why does she struggle?"

If she was to die then it would happen. Why fight?

She's crying when he grabs her hair and trembles uncertainly against his grip. "I have family. I need to live for them."

Muraki laughs bitterly. "Then you should have kept your mouth shut. This is what you deserve."

"You will die. It is what humans do."

He looked down at the rest of her. Those dark eyes of his analyzing the wounds. "You will not survive."

She shakes her head. "If I get to a hospital, I can survive. Please help me!"

Muraki stabs her again, but this time he cuts deeper between her ribs in the process. Now there's almost certainly no chance that she lives much longer, not with the blood loss and nicked lung her struggling earned.

"The lung has been pierced and now you will drown in blood. I read that it is an uncomfortable feeling to end your life with."

Looking at one of the cuts, Kazuo leaned in and stuck his finger into it. Almost as if he were actually curious about it. Mostly, he was just seeing how much pain it would cause to see if the books were right about that too.

When Kazuo does that, she screams. Muraki chuckles and shoves her back so she falls to the ground, kicking up a whirlwhind of cherry blossoms in the process.

"Should I end her suffering fast or leave her like this?" he asks, wondering out of dark curiosity what his current companion will suggest.

He watches her hit the ground before looking at the blood on his hand. People always seemed to bleed so much when they were cut. They really were so moist.

"There is no reason to end things quickly." It wasn't the game where it was better to kill them off as soon as possible.

He smiles devishly and nods. At least they agree on that.

"After all, this is just a dream and nobody's going to find her body in the morning."

He watches her try to reach for them but he aims a perfect kick that breaks her wrist before turning away.

"A dream... Yes."

She shrieks in pain and collapses a moment later from shock, pain, and the emotional hurt that can only come from being ignored at a time of darkest need.

"Then shall we end this dream and return to reality?" he ponders, mostly to himself.
