[Daniella has finally learned, after being instructed many times, just how and why to use the Dreamberry. While it may seem like such a thing could easily be ignored given just who she was, the Master had insisted that his maid learn so that he would have an efficient way to contact her if the need ever arose.

So when the dishes have been washed, the floors scrubbed, and all surfaces dusted for the evening, that is when Daniella takes a moment to check the broadcasts for any sign of Mr. Malfoy.

But given her erratic mood swings and general strangeness, the man-made woman halts once this particular broadcast pops up. Her blank eyes are oddly focused on the doll in his hands. Daniella, beautiful creation she is, is little more than a doll herself, after all.]

A doll..? [You are not the Master so she feels no reason to not correct you.] You are a man.

How do you know for sure, though? Appearances can lie.

[Muraki was genetically engineered. He's hardly a natural human.]

[Daniella has only seen four other human beings in her lifetime and they have all been real and complete, so why wouldn't she just assume that she was the only unreal one, even here in Somarium?]

... [Now with the doll out of view, she stares intently at his wounds.] ...Can you feel the pain? Can you feel?

I feel every bit of it.

[In his world, nobody naturally has silver hair or eyes.]

Then you must be real... [She lifts up the hand of hers that isn't holding the Dreamberry to study it again for the hundredth time that afternoon. Though the bleeding has long since stopped since her little experiment earlier in the day, the deep cuts all over her hand and fingers appear to have come from something much more than just a simple accident.]

I can not feel pain.

[He laughes again, the sound just as unhinged as it'd been earlier. But he can't help looking at her curiously.]

Then what are you, if you don't feel pain?

I am simply the Maid. [Her face is just as blank as ever, even the deranged laughter doesn't get a hint of emotion out of her.]

...I was created to be the perfect woman.

Not being able to feel pain doesn't strike me as perfect, but your creator may have had different priorities.

[Yes, just as she suspected.] ...I am incomplete. I am imperfect.

[And for the first time, there's a spark of something in her eyes. Perhaps she isn't quite as dull and obedient as her current Master thinks.]

I must feel. And taste. And understand...pleasure. I will fulfill my duties and become the perfect woman...as I am meant to be.

Good luck with that quest, dear. If I figure out a way to help people feel things, can I tell you?

Yes...[She gives the smallest and briefest of nods.] Yes, you may.

[And he smiles back politely.]

I'm Dr. Muraki. What do I call you?

[Daniella doesn't smile (unless something bad is about to happen), so forgive her for not returning the polite gesture.]

Daniella.

Yes... [Paause. So much conversation takes some getting used to.] It is, Sir.

...If I could feel happiness, I think I would...at this meeting.
