(no subject)
So there was mention of pink DANGER tape in a friend's post the other day. I never knew such a thing existed so naturally, I immediately wanted some. Did have some yellow CAUTION tape I use to hang on my cube walls when I didn't want to be bothered. It came in handy. Worked with most people. If I were extremely busy or extremely not in the mood to be bothered, I'd add a barricade of empty desk chairs. Hell, if I thought I could have gotten away with it I probably would have added sharpened pencils to the barricade. - There were always a few cluelessly thick ones that would dare to move the chairs, lift up the CAUTION tape and ask, "Is this a bad time?" (This is how I know I don't have pyrokinetic powers because no one who ever did that ever burst into flames.)
But I think everyone could really use some pink DANGER tape for their Life Survival Kit. Which I think everyone should be gifted with at birth. At least a basic starter kit that can then be added to as one got older and survival needs changed. Which then lead me to thinking, what would I put in my Life Survival Kit?
- yellow CAUTION tape
- pink DANGER tape
- tribble
- extra quarters and singles (for emergency snacks, tolls, tips, panhandlers, strippers.)
- tea bags
- ear plugs (for people who have no inside voices or who don't own an mp3 or cd player but do own a radio they will keep cranked up to 11.)
- small bolt or wire cutters (to snip off the plug prong or the wire itself of the aforementioned radio.)
- assorted sized ziplock baggies
- bubble wrap
- extra pen
- small pad of paper
- gum
- binder clips, assorted sizes
- extra cell battery or emergency charger
- roll of duct & electrical tape (both have their uses and strengths/weaknesses, having both covers most bases).
- book (either an old favorite or a classic you've always meant to but never have gotten around to reading.)
- ketchup packets
- thesaurus
- wet naps & hand sanitizer
- tissues
- aspirin (or vicodin, if available.)
- screwdriver (preferably sonic, multi-tipped otherwise.)
- collapsable hula hoop (these are *awesome*)
