Changing people's minds...

If you could change one person's mind about something, who and what would it be?I have no desire to change anyone's mind about anything. Any such change would also cause changes around that person, and that in turn would cause further changes... You all learn from your experiences, and that means that your minds are bound to change over the course ( Read more... )

I know that in the end all will be well

Skeptical* As you say.

Greetings.

Greetings.

You do not seem to believe that all will be well?

*faint shrug* That would depend on what one considers 'well'.
Ah, apologies. I...was curious, having heard of you from others.

*smiles faintly and nods, a light sparking in an otherwise all black eye*

From my perspective, or from another's... in the end, all is well. It may not be in a person's mortal lifetime though. That is no guarantee.

No apology needed. I am glad to meet you. I have heard of you as well.

*arches eyebrows, then laughs softly* Oh, I don't look for guarantees.

A pleasure to meet you in person as well.

*chuckles* Good, because in fact, no one can give them. Not even those who claim to speak with deities.

Since we have friends in common, I suppose it was simply a matter of... time.

True...the Arcana--and is there anyone they don't know?

I've not met many 'deities' who concern themselves with ethics
beyond what's needed for their own worshippers.

I think not. But that is also their charm.

It is a sad thing that many deities are too wrapped up in their own personal insecurities and agendas. They lure worshippers to their feet, and then touch them not in any way; they do not help or really care. Some do, but far from all, and the ethics... mangled by the foremost of the worshippers.

So, you do not look for guarantees. What do you look for?

Not their only charm, as you'd know if you've met the Sorcerer or their Warrior...

Insecurities, or hatred...*seems lost in thought,
then shakes himself*

For now? Or always? Much the same things. Freedom.
Change, and challenge. End to being alone, though that is less a concern of late. *wry smile*

*grins* No, 'tis not their only charm... There is much that makes them complex and interesting.

*watches silently*

Ah. Freedom is a worthwhile thing to search, as is companionship, and they can be combined. Change will always unfold, unless it is a specific change that you are impatient for. *smiles back*

*wry smile, looking down at himself.*

No doubt you're right. I haven't quite the same perspective...and that
Sharan--of the Arcana, would offer as much as she has, was unexpected.

*tiny shrug, change of subject* She and I may be attending a function at Loki's residence. Perhaps we'll see you there?

*follows the gaze with his own, not judging, not surprised, to reacting, simply observing*

You have more perspective than most. *smiles* To find kindness or fairness when most in need, is sometimes unsought for... If it had been expected, it would most probably not have been there.

*nods* Perhaps, yes. Loki is an old friend, and a feast of his making is sure to be interesting.
