end of the semester

I've been really busy. I'm sick today. :( Finals are next week. Me 'n Jess moved out of my friend's house and into an apartment. It's earlier than expected, but I think it will be best that way.

I really like this guy Nicky that I study with all the time. He's married to a cute little japanese girl. They're really cute together. He can be a bit over-analytical (mostly when we study). He can't let go of a problem. We'll spend an hour on one calc problem and I'm like "dude.. I'm moving on, this is ridiculous". Sometimes he figures it out, sometimes I do. Mostly I like to study alone, because he thinks out loud and tries to explain things to me before he's even sure if that's the way to do it. But we've been really successful as well, and he's been pretty inspirational. He reminds me of my buddy Tim. They both like to skateboard, but Nicky is older and def more mature.

I also like this guy named Dan in my class. He's quiet in groups but always strikes up a convo with me. I've told Nicky about my gayness and I've told a couple of other guys in my class. I haven't told Dan yet. He use to be in the military, so I feel a bit awkward, though I don't think he would care. He's pretty laid back.

I haven't made any chic buds, lol. I have a feeling I'll be surrounded by the same group of guys till I graduate (well for the most part). It tells me a huge something about this field.

Oh man. I had a presentation in my computer ethics class. I HATED it. My heart was pounding out of my chest during the time and I was having weird dreams beforehand (it was assigned a month ago). One dream... I was setting up my laptop and I needed an adaptor to hook my laptop to the projector. I forgot it, so for some reason Jessi was there. I asked her "Could you run home and get my adaptor?". She left and took a while, so I nervously told the teacher the first person could proceed and I"ll go later. Jessi came back...

In my dream she handed me an old school cassette tape that you would put into a radio. I was like "What the hell is this!!!!" I woke up pretty grump at her lol.

Anyways, my presentation was a nightmare. But Nicky complemented me and told me I sounded confident and seem to know my information and kept a great pace. The class spared me from the Q&A at the end, b/c I think they had a feeling I wanted to get out of there.

During the next presentation, my professor, a nice old cat-loving lady, who seems more like a scattered-brain art teacher than a computer science college professor, well... she fell asleep. The back of her head was to me, so I wasn't sure at first if she was nodding off, but when the dude played his boring ass video, she was down for the count!

Oh... I thought about volunteering at safehouse doing computer work. It's a domestic violence shelter. But in the end I decided I was too busy. I signed up for my next classes. I'm really afraid.... I've never taken a full load of classes with anything but simple names. Here's da list: computer organization, linear algebra, programming languages, logic and set theory (all one class), and intro to computer networking (i might drop it b/f the semester starts cuz the other classes might be too hard)

I'm hoping with all hope that I don't fail. I hear alot of the computer science people fail. Even Nate has failed a few classes!!! He's going to be in my comp org class. Sweeeet. I hope he gets it and wants to share his knowledge with me. Several of the other guys will also be in it. :)
