Hi to all~
My name is Nene and I've just finished rereading the HP book series the other day and found myself struck with the need of playing some HP goodness~

I'm the Mod of Time of Trial on IJ (Mod Journal) and we're looking for Sirius Black, Severus Snape, James Potter, Remus Lupin and Fred and George Weasley. We're an AU game based on what would've happened if Lily and James had survived the attack at Godric's Hollow and the Dark Lord had been killed.

Thank you for contacting me, I think the idea is really nice~ but I have three questions:
1. Is yaoi allowed? (>>)
2. Is it a thread rpg or you also do AIM logs or the likes?
3. When are you planning to start?

No problem, and I have some answers for you:

1. I really don't have a problem with any sort of pairing or relationship as long as it takes time to develop and is realistic.

2. It's mostly a thread community, most of the players find it easier. But if you do feel like doing logs all I ask is that they're posted in the main community so we know it happened.

That sounds perfect to me, I really like realistic things myself, and things that take time to develop~ what do you think about canon? Like, why did you think about creating this comm, if I may ask..

I really don't have a problem abiding by rules and adapting to playing just on threads, I've been on such comms before, but I'm a bit scared of the environment I would find... you can see the other comments in this page, the person that was trying to invite me in their comm stopped replying when I mentioned my muses are usually bi... I can't say I like that kind of behaviour, or better, it's not a matter of what I like or not, it's just that it makes me a bit wary about the HP fandom right now... I'm used to playing in a fandom where yaoi is almost the only way, and it's purely my choice whether my muse fall for a guy or a girl, and either way there aren't people who would avoid playing with me for that reason...

I really don't have anything against canon, I just don't think it's interesting to play off of what someone already completely wrote out. I like to add small twists to things, so I as well as my players, have more options about how we play our characters. I really don't like games that hammer it into people that their characters have to be played a certain way so I tried to make a place with an open atmosphere.

I've only other played in the HP Fandom, but I've done so for nearly ten years now. I understand being wary, but I like to think that the players who have returned (We're restarting, I closed down the community for a year or so to keep up with my education) are very open minded to my ideas as well as each others. I like the fact that you stated that you don't go into a game with a pre-set notion of who your characters have to be with, that you pick that based on the personality of the people you're playing against. That's what I like to see in a writer. :)

I think we are on the same page about that. I adore canon of course, being a fan and all, but writing in the fandom I want to find out the what ifs and the possible way the characters can be and act and relate when it's other people writing them, same reason I am hardly inspired to play the books era, because I like it how it is, the past is so open instead, it's like they ask me to get twisted and interpreted and played. Your idea is awesome because it creates a whole AU world to work with, with the characters I really like ( ... )

Well, who you want to play is up to you-- but I'm really looking for any of the Marauder's for my own devious plot purposes ;) I also know you don't want to be forced into a relationship-- so maybe Sirius or Remus would be good for you? James is still married to Lily, and while I play Lily and would love for her to have her husband, I don't want you to feel forced into it. Snape is still open; with a few twists to his past. I'd like to have someone dedicated play him as well-- as we never really been able to find someone who could stick to the character. I must admit, I am quite anxious to have a Snape as the person who plays Lily to see where that would play out with the plot changes.

We had quite a few yaio pairings in the last game, and some relationships that some people just found odd. LOL. But that's what I like. :)

The idea of playing Snape is quite inspiring at the moment, what kind of twists in the past were you talking about?
I'm very much undecided between Sirius and Snape *thinks*

Snape still overheard the prophecy and told Voldemort, but when he became aware that Voldemort was going to kill the Potters he also told Lily which saved the Potters lives. I can imagine that would change many things, from the mentality and personality of the character to the relationships with the other Death Eaters, Lily and James, Dumbledore, ECT.

Sirius is also a bit different, I have him listed as the DADA Professor, but that is subject to change if the player feels differently.

Just somethings to think about.

aw, sirius as dada sounds so good too...
as for snape, how did he tell lily? considering they were not in contact anymore and then went in hiding?

I was going to talk that out with whoever wanted to wanted to play him and come a to a mutual decision since I play Lily. He's a major character, and something of a rewrite from JKR's world. It's why I want whoever plays Snape to be dedicated, and not leave in a week. LOL. They're going to have to work closely with me to work some kinks out. ;)

yeah, that's the main reason I feel inspired by playing Snape, knowing this plot twist and knowing there would be much plot to work on... I surely am quite dedicated, it happened to me to get uninterested at times, but it was usually after everyone else xD so yeah, surely not a week xD

Hey, can I still make it? I've been caught up with work and couldn't read the whole thing yet, this week is hell, but starting from monday I'll be much freer... I'll still be around this week, just not as much as usual, I'm just not too sure whether you started already or not...
I'm a bit unsure about what to write in Severus Story, considering part of it we're supposed to be talking about it together...
