The weekend as past and I can’t help but feel rage at the nation that is the US of A. I simply cannot comprehend how the cause of freedom can be furthered by the suggestion that a Primary School principle should have an assault weapon within easy reach. How is the cause of freedom furthered by school employees having to perform drills to deal with mass shooters? How can a nation lay down personal privacy to 1 shoe bomber when bombing a plane but then be told that the right to send your kids to school is of an order less than the right to automatic weapons. I have tried to keep my head down with this one but of the bits of information I have been unable to avoid these have hit home:

• When the gunman entered the principal’s office, the principle tried to take him down...Dawn Lafferty was shot dead.
• After hiding her students, Victoria Soto a 27 year old teacher faced the gun man and told him that her students had gone to the gym...she was shot dead (In a separate shooting a year or two ago, a holocaust survivor was shot dead while holding the class room door shut, giving his students time to escape through a window).
• A small child is quoted as saying to an Adult...”Follow me, don’t worry I know Karate”.

These things should not happen in a primary school, some things need to be safe no matter what and one would think that one has the right to assume a primary school is one of them.

Americans have a very strange idea on what constitute basic freedom and rights. I’m tired of reading about this and I don’t want the corruption spreading here. I hope that Obama takes this issue and fights hard, fights dirty and sets America on a different path...because if the death of 20 children under 10 doesn’t do it...what will?
