Author's Note: I’m not sure if this is what was expected from this exchange, but I enjoyed writing this and wish that finals weren’t a thing so I could have devoted more time to this.
Pool party. Jongdae sighed a little." He didn't really like going to parties like this, he wasn't overly confident in his body and to make matters worse he was going with his fiance, Yixing, who happened to have an amazing body. He knew that Yixing loved his body - he might be a bit scrawny but Yixing enjoyed what he looked like. Jongdae just couldn't help but compare himself to the boy who looked so good in just his swim trunks. Yixing looked over at Jongdae who was still trying to decide what swimwear he should wear to the party. Yixing sighed a little picking up a pair of trunks. "Wear these and stop worrying about it. It's just a stupid pool party, I don't understand why Minseok is always into having these."
"Yeah." Jongdae sighed a little getting changed into the trunks and then pulling a white t-shirt on over the top of it. He smiled at Yixing. "How do I look?"
"Sexy." He said quietly, coming over and kissing Jongdae, "Although I much prefer what you wear when we're in our hot tub." Yixing pulled Jongdae's hips against his, he kissed the other's neck gently. Jongdae sighed a little, moving to pull away from his fiance.
"We're going to be late." Jongdae said with a small laugh, he felt a little awkward, the other bringing up what they do in their hot tub. They had a high privacy fence, as well as the hot tub being pretty hidden even from their own windows, so Jongdae had never felt too self conscious to get in their hot tub naked. He liked being in their naked with his fiance. "And you know that Minseok might just kill us."
"He won't be killing us, Sehun is bringing his new girlfriend or something so he'd going to be dealing with Zitao who's probably going to be crying about it - and do you really think we're going to be missed with all that drama going on?" Yixing said with a shrug, grabbing their towels and putting them in a gym bag. "Do you want arm band floaties?"
"Yixing" Jongdae whined - he couldn't swim, but he wasn't planning on doing any swimming at the party, he was going to be lounging around on the side of the pool, maybe he'd put his feet in the water - but he wasn't going to be taking his shirt off, and he wasn't going to be doing any swimming. He'd leave that to his boyfriend - and their rather buff friends.
"I was just asking." Yixing said with a laugh, "You know this will be the first time we've seen Lu Han since we got engaged - he's gong to want to hear about how I proposed."
Jongdae laughed a little. "It wasn't exactly romantic." Jongdae said as he picked up the gym bag and led the other out to their car. "You literally had just cum and were being all cute and affectionate and just went how about we get married, I don't want to be with anyone else ever., I thought you were joking and then the next day you took me to get our rings." He smiled at Yixing, it was somehow perfect for them. It just suited their relationship - they didn't need to make their engagement a huge romantic thing. Jongdae really didn't want to make a big deal out of anything when it came to their relationship.
He'd always been relaxed - he'd been surprised when Yixing had even been interested in him and he'd needed the other to be pretty explicit when they were flirting with each other. He loved Yixing with all his heart and he knew that Yixing loved him too just so they didn't need to make a huge thing out of it.
When they got to the party Jongdae felt more self conscious than he had before, he didn't want to be here. He'd rather just be with his fiance, at home, in their hot tub, making love, kissing until they couldn't breathe. But that wasn't where he was, he was at this stupid party, with his friends and their partners - who were all equally toned and muscular.
"Dae?" Yixing said, he knew that Jongdae was tense and he knew that it was to do with what he looked like. He kissed the other quickly. "Don't be like this, you're so much sexier than all of these people."
"Oh yeah like you haven't looked at any of our friends and thought about how good their bodies are." He shook his head, and then sighed. "Even the girls have better abs than me."
"Your abs are my favourite abs." Yixing said with a small laugh, moving to press a kiss to his fiance's cheek. "Look you have no reason to feel bad about any part of your body. I like all your body" He said with a smile. "You need to be a little more confident, you're perfect and none of these people here have anything you have. You are amazing. You're incredible, I don't care if your body is super built, or if you weighed eighty times as much as you do weigh. You're perfection right now."
"You're bias." Jongdae said with a chuckle, trying to hide from everyone. He didn't want to have to talk to everyone who would be shirtless, showing off just how amazing their body was. He moved to sit on the side of the pool, his feet in the water as he kicked at it gently. Yixing had taken his shirt off and he jumped into the water, splashing Jongdae.
Yixing smiled at his boyfriend, pulling himself up so he could kiss the other. Kissing him romantically, deeply. When Yixing pulled away he had a stupid smile on his face, and Jongdae could practically see what was coming. He felt the other pulling him into the water. Jongdae screamed a less than manly scream as he entered the water. He came back up to the surface and looked at his partner. "Really?" He asked, legs wrapping around Yixing's waist as they kissed more, deeper. It would have been romantic, well more romantic if they were kissing in their own hot tub.
Yixing laughed when they finally parted from their kiss. "See you have nothing to be concerned about. I'm pretty turned on by you and you've not even got your clothes off." Yixing laughed a little giving Jongdae a quick kiss. Jongdae smiled, refusing to un-wrap his legs from around his partners waist. Yixing didn't mind, he would rather spend the evening in the pool with his fiance rather than having to get out and socialise.
Jongdae was slowly forgetting his insecurities, there was nothing, no voice in the back of his mind telling he didn't compare to the people around him when all he could see was the way Yixing looked at him. He couldn't help but see just how much the other thought his body was perfect, which led him to question just how lucky he was. He was beyond lucky. He knew that it wasn't very often that men like Yixing would come into his life - and he had no intention of ever letting this one go. "I love you." He said rather suddenly.
"I know, Jongdae." Yixing said pressing a soft kiss to the other man's cheek. "I love you too." It was perfect, the evening was warm so being in the pool wasn't too bad. Jongdae did however, whine when he got out of the pool. He didn't like the fact that his shirt was sticking to his chest, everyone could see that he wasn't toned, that he hadn't been working out (and he wanted to for the wedding but it was difficult to find the time with his job.). He'd felt more confident when he'd been in the pool - but he could still feel Yixing checking him out even though he knew what he was getting.
Jongdae wondered why Yixing thought his body was anything special when they had friends who were as built as Minseok and toned like Luhan. He felt like he was in the worst shape out of everyone in the group. It was as if Yixing could read minds. "I like my men scrawny so stop looking at everyone and comparing yourself, you're literally my perfect man so don't think about what they are doing." Yixing moved to drape the towel around Jongdae's shoulders. "I wish you saw what I saw, but I know that the confidence has to come from within you - and I can't make you love yourself."
"I love myself, Yixing." Jongdae pushed his shoulder lightly, "I just can't believe you think my body is any good when we have male models for friends."
"You're my scrawny Adonis."
"That's an oxymoron."
"You're a moron."
