Hello to all. Oh Sundays... today did not feel like a Sunday. I already knew for sure that there was no school on Tuesday and I had heard there was a great chance there wouldn't be school tomorrow. Knowing this... I lived me life procrastinating to the fullest.
Woke up around 11 and did the norm. Sat down and picked out what I wanted to do this summer. I'm gonna do one of those Landmark community service programs. Hopefully I can do one in Colorado or out in Washington... become one with nature... I'm also probably gonna do the 3 week Panim program in DC... wrote out my application and looked at some other homework. Printed out Volume II of my live journals. Hopefully I can get it bound tomorrow. Its amazing how much more comfortable I have become in my entries. They really are a good depiction of myself and aren't some sort of shield or false persona that I want to portray. I write what I feel and I write what I think and very rarely hold back anything.
Talked to Jodi for the first time in weeks. Didn't seem like she really cared.... I'll always try and keep in touch with her. Talked to Hilary for a long time and she brought the amazing news that my SAT class had been postponed. Knowing this, she came over and we studied math and chilled for the night. Got some Chinese and watched "Hair." I really like it... but it really creeped me out... The ending hits you as if someone just punched you in the stomach. The music was great though and it is a great time piece for that era. Hilary left to beat out the scary, snowy roads and I watched "O" on tv. Pretty disappointing compared to the real thing. Josh Hartnett was pretty dull as Hugo (Iago) and I thought the guy who played Oden (Othello) was great. The adaptation was really bad though.
Walked upstairs and went outside for a sec. The snow had already been coming down for awhile and was till falling. It was just beautiful. Everything was painted white and the sky was shimmering. Combination of the Heschel esque awe of the beauty and the confirmed hope of school cancellation put me in a really good mood. Talked to my prom group and made some potential plans and now I'm gonna go to bed... school is closed, right?
