(no subject)
I was going to keep this just a one line entry, but what the hell? A lot has been going on since I last updated, but I haven't gone against anything I said before. However, I suppose there was a slight change of plans, because in my last entry I said that I was going to fly back to Michigan just to ask Ashley's parents if I could have their blessing to marry her. Being as her parents are down here right now for two weeks, I went ahead and took the liberty of asking them today while Ashley was at work. I was quite surprised I managed to actually ask them today being as usually I chicken out at least one time before I actually ask something important. Of course I was nervous, but I was so relieved when they both said yes. Of course the yes was followed by some crying, a hug, and a handshake...nothing out of the ordinary.
So from here on the plan stays steady, I've decided that I'm going to propose on a random date in October to her. I've yet to really decide how and where I'm going to do this, but I figure I have enough time to get that done. Also I'm going to have to call her sister up to help me pick out the engagement ring, but lucky for me I have plenty of money to go get one, so that's not going to be a big deal. Honestly I don't think it'll be that hard to propose since right now I already know what the answer's going to be, today was the only uncertain thing left in the whole manner. There will be more to come on this.
