Ever since I started nearing completion of my first book, I began writing a sequel. You have to understand that I write just because I enjoy it. The name of the next installment in my series is Othello2: The Last One Standing. Here's the synopsis of the sequel to "We Were Meant to Live for so Much More":
It’s been a few years since the war, and Allison gave birth to Othello’s son. She moves back to her Aunt’s home in San Antonio, Texas to try and raise her son. Drake is in the area for physical rehab, and decides to stay with Allison for a while. The untold truth is exposed as to why Drake never gave Othello Allison’s new number along with many other things.
Allison bites her tongue over the years as she watches her son rapidly following in his father’s footsteps. She’s afraid to watch him suffer the same fate as his father once did. When one day during Othello’s junior year of high school, she’s presented with papers to let her son join the Army. She goes to Drake to ask his opinion, and at that point Drake lets her know that since he completed his physical rehab that the Army has accepted him back, and that he’ll be leaving within a few months.
After completing his Green Beret training, Othello is sent back to his hometown high school to finish up his senior year. However, once he graduates within a week he will be recalled back to active duty to serve his term. On the day before graduation, everyone’s so happy to be almost done with high school. Othello shows up wearing his uniform instead of cap and gown.
Later on in the day something goes wrong though, suddenly there’s a Mexican helicopter outside the school lunchroom. Warriors begin repelling down to the ground, as all hell breaks loose. However rebuilding their military isn’t the only Mexico has been up to, Along with numerous Warriors to fight, Othello finds himself facing something else. Something not human.
