Garden club came and went. I got some good advice about what to do with my back fence. See, here in Houston, we have clay for soil. My backyard hasn't been tilled in years, so it is just one expanse of thick, heavy clay. To nurture plants, I need to create 6-8 inches of topsoil with good drainage. Ergo, needing to create a planting bed that is higher than the ground.
We talked about bulbs, rhizomes, and corms. I like these kinds of flowers and plantings. Just need to get some and stick them in the ground. no, wait, in the fertilized top soil.
Yeah, some of it is rubbing off, even when I am in and out of the room prepping food.
