Rome Wasn't Built In A Day
My unspoilery thoughts on the first ep of "Rome":
(1) Too much gratuitous female nudity.
(2) Too little gratuitous male nudity.
(3) Polly Walker rocks, but I've thought that for a long time now.
(4) All in all - they cancelled "Carnivale" for this? I'm not sure it was a good trade.
(5) I'm wondering if it's a good thing that I know so little ancient history. On the one hand, I won't get all involved in nitpicking the show to death, because I really don't know much more than "Et tu, Brutus?" Which I know isn't even the accurate Shakespeare quote, so please don't point it out. On the other hand, I did have a bit of a hard time keeping the characters and politics straight.
I'll probably watch a few more episodes, but I'm ambivalent about the show so far.
