If you believe in Karma you would tell me that I have wronged someone. A Christain would tell me God is testing me. Maybe the broken hand mirror in my bathroom is finally kicking in. Either way you look at it, I appear to be having a patch of bad luck.
A couple weeks ago I found out that this entire year had been spent in vain. I could have taken a full load in school instead of the eight credits I limited myself to in order to gain residency. For some tax reason or another, I won't be classified as an Oregon resident this coming school year. My best bet is to apply for the WUE program next term, but then I would have to switch from a Theater major to something else like History or Biomedical Informatics.
A few days ago the job I was promised and had been waiting three weeks to start was pulled out from under me. The owner of the restaurant, who I've known since I moved to Portland decided suddenly that he would have no more workers and just wing it on his own. I suppose something unexpected must have happened to make such a drastic change but it really is unfortunate for me and my friends who worked there. It was going to be a great job too, small place, tons of friendly people, yummy food, tips and learning guitar when it's slow. Now I'm back on the job hunt.
Last night my bike was stolen. It's been my favorite mode of transportation lately, and I was going to use it to pass out resumes everywhere. I'm in the market for a new bike.
Things have to get better. Don't they say bad things happen in threes?
