Awesome food prizes for a good cause!
This is neat: the food blogging community is selling raffle tickets to benefit the UN World Food Programme. What makes this raffle exceptionally cool is the prizes. Celebrity chefs are offering to take you out for a drink, restaurants from around the world are offering free dinners, restaurant critics and food writers are offering customized food tours of various cities, and there is a ton of really cool food and wine that can be delivered to your doorstep. Each raffle ticket costs $10 and on 12/22 (I think--next Friday) they'll draw a ticket for each prize. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have of winning the prize, of course, and 100% of your donation goes to fight world hunger.
As of this writing they've raised $15,000 and winners will be notified by 1/15/06. Here's the main site for donations:
