Operation Tuba Update: Week 1
So yeah, playing brass is nothing at all like riding a bike. I couldn't play at all when I got there, but Scott told me that I learned in 2 hours what generally takes a beginner 6 months. And that's longer than I ever played before, so I guess that's pretty good. I need to practice at home ALOT though. Hopefully I can get a hold of a horn, I'd like to be able to at least hack through the opener soon. Good thing I can march like a bastard, so I can at least look good while I suck. We learned 17 pages of drill, and Its pretty hip. Those things are heavy, I'm gonna be ripped. So other than some minor BS at the end, it was a pretty good weekend.
