Just some thoughts...
Kinda quiet weekend 'round here.

Finally caught a movie that I've heard a lot about - a film from Japan called "Kwaidan". It was really great, and I'd totally recommend it to anybody looking for a good scary movie. Now I must say that when I say "scary movie", I'm not talking about the typical Western preception of a horror movie - as in a passel of annoying tenneagers getting slaughtered and buckets of gore. The films broken into four separate ghost stores, and I found the first two more sad than scary... I mean they were full of paranormal and spooky type things, but the romantic aspcets of the first two tales got to me.
Guess I'm just a romantic at heart.
Watched part of the Mick Foley DVD - mixed feelings here. It was so cool to see some old school a**-kicking from ECW... and it was sad to see it 'cause it made me miss it so much.
I know I know - I like forgein films and hardcore wrestling.
Just call me "Captain Contradiction."
There's something I've been wanted to get offa my chest for a while... now anybody who knows me knows I a HUGE fan of "The Lord Of The Rings" movies. Love the stories, love the characters, cried myself sick at the end of "The Return Of The King".
That having been said....
am I the only one who is creeped out by the Elves in Tolkien's Middle Earth? I mean they are SO prefect, they just intimidate the heck outta me. I mean, they're like Uber-Vulcans or something.
