- What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why? I think I would like to be a teacher of some sort at one of the Wizarding Academies. Mostly likely I would teach something along the lines of History of Magic. I'm a big history buff, and history has always kinda fascinated me. Whenever I'm bored online(which isn't often, but can happen), I often go and look up old folklore and try to find the historical root behind the story. Sounds nerdy and geeky, but it's fun for me.
- You have to venture deep into the Forbidden Forest one night. Pick one Harry Potter character other than Hagrid and one object (muggle or magical), besides your wand, that you'd want with you. I would probably take Cedric Diggory. He's brave, trustworthy, and I am pretty sure I can rely on him to have my back. Also, I'm pretty sure I can rely on him not to laugh at me too much if I freak out over something stupid, like spiders. The one object I would want to have with me is an invisibility cloak. It would allow us to see what's going on around us, but will keep us hidden from much of what's in the Forest.
- If you had the opportunity to live forever, but your family and friends did not, what would you choose? And if you did choose to live forever, what would you do with eternity? I don't think I would want to live forever without my friends and family. Everyone seems to think that being immortal is such a great gift, but all it really means is watching the world grow old, die and be reborn around you for all time. It means watching those around you whither and fade while you remain the same.
- If you could travel back in time to one point, when and where would you go? Why? If all of Time was available to visit, I would want to visit Ancient Egypt. That period in history has always fascinated me. It would be nice to see it back when it was not Ancient but alive. It's one thing to make inferences and best guesses from the records they left behind, but to see it in action would be something I would not want to miss.
- What HP character do you identify with most and why? I think I most identify with Hermione Granger. I've always been the bookworm amongst my friends, and always speaking my mind, whether I thought they would like what I said or not. Thought I can also say that I'm not that uppity and heavily reliant on books for all my knowledge. I can think on my feet a little more.
- What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised? Honestly, I have what I most desire, a loving and wonderful husband, and healthy and happy child, a good home, and good friends. But if I did see something, it would be me and my husband with our very own house, both of us with our PhDs, great jobs, and money set aside so our children won't have to rely on student loans for college.
- Do you believe that moral actions should be judged by the intentions behind them, or by the consequences they create? That's a tough question, but I do believe in the ends justifying the means. It can get me in trouble, and I know the whole saying about the road to hell and good intentions, but I just can't help it. I tend to be very aggressive when it comes to things like defending my friends.
- What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now? My ideal job as a kid was paleontologist. I wanted to dig up dinosaurs. Yes it changed, several times. At one point I wanted to be a Marine Biologist, even went so far as to major in it for a time. Now I think my ideal job would be a criminal researcher. I'm going to school for Criminology right now.
- If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it? Right now, I think I would love a spell that would automatically clean up the house, and messy toddlers with a flick of my wand. I think I would call it, lazymumikulus. Just say that word, flick your wrist, and all housework gets down in a flash.
- If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus? I'm petrified of Spiders, so, like Ron, it would be large, hairy spider with large fangs. Once I through the counter-spell, I imagine it would turn into a spider that has no fangs, and half its legs missing, so it's going around in circles instead of straight at me.
- What do you look for in a friend? I never really thought about it. I guess I look for people as crazy as me. I love people who can make me laugh, and who laugh when I do something funny or incredibly stupid. I look for people who tell me when I'm being an idiot and aren't afraid to tell me when I'm hurting their feelings. I value honesty, and loyalty.
- What trait most annoys you about other people? Honestly? I hate when people don't tell me when I'm being stupid, or when I've said something that hurts them. I would rather have a person tell me the truth than not. Also, I hate when people take words that I've said in private and use it to hurt others.
- What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities? Not something I've really thought about, honestly. Well, I'm a good listener, or so I've been told. I think I'm a fairly good mediator, getting in between friends before they kill each other and let calm down before they say something they regret. Yep, I fill in for Owls more than once. I think I'm a great writer. It's something I love to do, and love to share with others. Ok, that's three. I like to think I'm a great mom. I love my son so much, and love spending time on him. I think I'm smart. I love to learn new things, often times to the point that I might accidentally drive people insane.
- What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities? I have the shortest temper in the known universe. Seriously, look at me wrong and I will scream at you. Especially if I'm having a bad day. I hate when people take their bad days out on me, so I tell them off. I'm very self-conscious. I never think I'm really that good at anything. I can't spell to save my life. It if weren't for spell check, I'd be doomed. I'm more clumsy than Bella Swan of Twilight. Falling on my ass is a national past-time for me. I'm a procrastinator. Like right now? I should be working on my homework. What am I doing? Filling out this app and talking to people on AIM.
- Define in your own words the following key traits:
- Courage: The ability to stand up for what you believe is right, even if it means standing alone. The ability to speak up for yourself, regardless of what others think of you
- Loyalty: Being there for your friend, no matter what, but also knowing when to point out when they are wrong. Being Loyal doesn't mean letting them walk all over you.
- Intelligence: Being intelligent isn't just about knowing the square root of pi or being able to graduate college. To me, being intelligent means knowing when you are wrong, and being able to admit it.
- Ambition: Never letting anything stand in the way of your goals. It means being able to never give up no matter the obstacle.
