If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? The amount pf prejudice and ignorance in the world. I suffer from certain psychological problems, and am faced with insensitivity and even rudeness, people claiming I do it all for attention, that I can just snap my fingers and make it go away, when it's not that simple. It almost feels like we're still in the days when mental illnesses were considered taboo and people were locked away rather than being treated because society didn't want to deal with them. And the amount of racism that still exists is baffling. People throw around derogatory terms, which always makes me grind my teeth. Does the term 'all men were created equal' mean NOTHING?
What makes a person respectable?Compassion. If someone has no sympathy, empathy, or anything for others, I find it very hard to have it for that person. You have to give what it is you wish to recieve. And the ability to stand up for what's right, the courage to do so. I, myself, fight a lot of battles over what I believe is right, despite not being a confrontational person. Anyone who can look beyond what they have always been told by the media, their parents, etc, and see the bigger picture rather than blindly following the masses is respectable.
What do you look for in a friend? This is a tricky question, as I have lost a lot of friends due to my "issues". I look for someone who is going to see past the illness, and look at me, as a person. I look for someone who has a sense of humor on the same wavelength as mine, so that we can share the great joy of laughter. I look for someone with compassion and intelligence, so we can carry on conversations without running into those *facepalm* moments.
What are your hobbies?I write fanfiction, search for music that touches me and hits a vein. I make fandom soundtracks, talk to my friends, counsel people, read magazines and books by the truckload, and ponder ways to make myself over.
Have or would you give time and money to a charity? I admit, the commercials for the charities for third world children get to me, and if I knew that the money actually GOT to them, I would give money. But knowing how selfish most people are, no, I wouldn't, because I am not giving money to more beaurocrats. They have enough as it is.
What is the one thing you would most like to accomplish?I want to be happy. Truly happy. I don't want to be plagued by thoughts of food, of self-hatred, of worthlessness. I want to be one of those people that just radiate light.
Who is your role model? Jessicka Fodera, the lead singer of Jack Off Jill. She is an extremely talented singer and songwriter, and put up with a lot of flack for being a full-figured woman. She climbed out of the holes of self-injury and drug addiction and is still making wonderful music today.
What trait most annoys you about other people? When people feel the need to be disruptive and rude to look cool. When they are so blindly accepting of what they have been told and don't even try to think for themself. When they see everything in black&white, because NOTHING is that simple.
What do you want to do for a living? I want to be a writer, or a therapist for children & adolescents, so that I can help them in a way no one was ever able to help me.
If your friend was attacked (by a person, animal, or (in the magic world) beast), what would you do? Debilitate the attacker with a good kick to a well-aimed spot, and then carry my friend to the hospital wing [i the magical world], or drive them to the hospital, and stay with them until I knew everything was all right.
Would you ever use an Unforgivable Curse for any reason? Yes. If someone hurt or killed one of my friends or family, I would not hesitate to Crucio their ass. In the emotional turmoil, it would be the only thing I would think to do.
