::is driving home from a late night of not getting any work done because she's too distressed over Logan studying when she spots the fire and stops to make sure no one's hurt::

...Bette? What are you - are you okay?!

You were here when it happened? ::puts her coat around the girl's shoulders then snuffs out the rest of the fire:: Poor thing. Did you see how it started?

Yeah, I wasn't expecting it, then they set fire to a huge pile of papers, handed me the lighter and ran. *Lets out a slight breath* Then I don't remember much.

They? Geez, how cowardly. I'm just glad you're okay. ::puts an arm around her and realizes they've never really talked or interacted much:: Come on, no point staying here. How about some ice cream? Cure's all ills. Temporarily until it all starts hurting again

Yeah... cowards. *Not going to mention they are actually her friends. And she didn't entirely hate the building burning down :X*

*Smiles* Ice cream sounds good. I am feeling a bit warm.

::catches her hesitation:: Did you know then? They weren't kids from school, were they?

::pats her back, removes her arm, as pulls out her car keys:: Need a ride? Or do you want to meet me?

No, no, they aren't from school. They must just like causing a mess and damage.

A lift would be great, thanks, I don't have a car - well, I did. But I decided I didn't want it so. Thank you.

Typical teenage delinquency with a lighter. Is it bad that seems almost innocent and quaint?

::leads them over to her car with a smile:: Why would you get rid of your car?

Not really, it was an empty building, no-one was going to die, that is a lot better than what usually goes down at school.

*Laughs softly and smiles* As a sign to the person that bought it for me, that I didn't want to be associated with them anymore.
