At home on a Friday night...
Man, I was just wasting time by looking at a "you know you're from philadelphia when..." meme and was shocked at how many things were true on it and suprisingly regional. The one thing it did say was "you have the local pizza place on speed dial"...is this a strange thing to do? Do only people from Philly have the pizza place on speed dial? I do have the number for Little Sicily in my phone, and it has come in handy many times when I've had a major cheesesteak craving. Is this weird? I don't think it is.
In actual news, today was Liam's 5th birthday. He received a Powerwheels truck...there's part of me that is jealous of this, seeing as I had always wanted one when I was little. They were just so expensive to us then...due to my dad's crazy medical bills after his heart attacks we never had very much money at all. I mean, we never really had it before then either, but that hurt things. We definately weren't in the financial bracket that would allow my parents to buy me a completely unnecessary electric car. I wish I had one now...that way I could save on gas, and be totally awesome driving down the shoulder of 202 at 5 mph.
For those of you who don't know, my sister Kelly is getting married in several years. I don't know if I posted that already or not, but she is, and she's already planning lots of stuff for it, including where it will be in Philadelphia and the dresses we're going to have. There's part of me that is amused by the whole thing, and then I remember that I'll have to buy an expensive bridesmaids dress which will be annoying.
Justin and I found an apartment in Silver Spring...it's pretty much in downtown. Our building has ten stories, an outdoor swimming pool, and a laundry facility. My favorite thing is that the bedroom of the apartment has two walk-in closets. We're moving in on the 8th of October, though our apartment will be pretty bare considering we lack such things as a kitchen table/chairs, a couch and chairs for the living room, silverware, drapes, etc. I framed a bunch of my smaller posters the other day, and my mom laughed at my attempt to move from the college dorm feeling to the college graduate feeling just by framing my posters.
Whenever my mom and sisters call my cell phone it's ring is a woman saying "A ho is calling".
I need ideas for Justin's birthday present. He'll be 24 on the 23rd. Any help would be appriciated, especially from those who know him well.
