Just got back from seeing The Village. I give it a 10. It was highly impressive. I thought it was going to be quite scary. Verily, that is why I wanted to see it in the first place. I enjoy a well done scary movie. This movie isn't so scary as it is most excellent, though. M. Night Shyamalan is one righteous dude. I reckon none of his movies are what I anticipate... they always turn out to be something better.
The Simpsons... I watched it today. And I watched it a couple weeks ago. Not as impressive as it used to be. In fact... I'd say it was depressing watching it today. It wasn't witty, and I was somewhat dumbfounded by the low level of humor.
I watched Anchorman last week. It was funny. Christina Applegate is gorgeous. I give it a thumbs up, I reckon. Not the best comedy I've ever seen, but worth the $2 I paid to see it.
I watched Sling Blade last weekend at my parents house while I was hanging around for my dad's 50th (much fun was had). Sling Blade instantly became one of my all time favorite dramas.
The Boone Theater is pretty sweet. It's only $2 or $3 depending on when you go, and they play recent movies. The seating isn't incredibly comfortable, but it also isn't the kind of place to get packed. I like it.
And the older I get, the more I enjoy hanging out with my family. odd. (My brother, his fiancee and their baby girl, Grace, visited today. it was sweet.)
