Barnstormers and Arkham Horror

Alex and I haven't been working on The Robat music lately, because somebody got carpal tunnel from playing too many video games. I'm not going to name names, but it's hard to play guitar with a wrist-brace on. We have probably three or four songs that are "in process", but who knows when we'll be able to (comfortably) resume.

We're season ticket holders to the Iowa Barnstormers (arena league football). It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and it helps that they're a winning team. We will be in our usual seats during the playoffs. Alex and I may or may not have been on the Kiss Cam this week in front of 9000+ people.

Earlier this year we went to Kansas City for a little weekend getaway. We stayed at Chateau Avalon (a theme-room hotel, lots of fun), went to dinner theater, and perused the World War Museum. I think we spent almost four hours in that museum, and every minute of it was awesome. We also saw some art place, but I was underwhelmed. I'm too picky with art. Just give me some Goya and Munch, and leave me alone.

Arkham Horror is the best board game ever. Generally I hate playing board games with only two players, but this one really does it for me. Every game is interesting, and there's no guarantee you're going to win. It's based around the writings of HP Lovecraft. I've had a couple of his books since I was in middle school, so that really makes it even more interesting for me. Good times.

And I'm really caught up in The Master Plan threads on SomethingAwful.
