congratulations on the new komputar! The ubuntu is pretty sweet. We're using that for our file server with no problems. It's using KDE and I prefer gnome but whatever. My computer dula boots XP and 64Studio, a debian based OS, and I haven't used windows for over a month. I use it for GTA but I don't need it anymore for Counter Strike. Some people do knock the ubuntu and this makes me mad as well. First you hear "linux sucks because my gramma can't use it!" then you hear "linux sucks because my gramma can use it!" It makes no sense! DO people NOT want an easy to use OS that has ALL THE SAME CAPABILITIES as other distros? The repositories for ubuntu are amazing, the people in the forums are actully helpful and they also have a studio version with a kernel tuned to reduce latency! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT so much that I'm having an event at the library here in two weeks. It's supposed to be tomorrow butI hd absolutely no help putting it on. Software Freedom Day '07. In Iowa City, September 29th. If you wanna come and help out you would be completely welcome to do so. We'll be demo'ing software and maybe be playing some games on the library LAN.
