Bridewars and childabuse.

I went to the movies tonight with Lars and Nadia Sabrin to see Bridewars. I kinda liked it.. it wasn't hysterically funny, but it was cosy. There were a lot of contrasts and they really gave the characters a personality in those mere two hours. It was a well made movie, but I do think it's more of a "watch at home"-movie.:)

And now to the childabuse part of the entry. I just read some news about this seven year old kid in Millau, France that had been pretty much held as a prisoner in his own house by his own parents. But if you ask me, they don't really qualify as parents. More like neglecting, dumb mom and alcholic, abusive dad. They had another son too, but the firstborn was hit by his father; closed fist against all parts of his body. France had not noticed, and neither had the concerned grandmother or the neighbours, who had believed the explanations coming from the dumbasses. They now face up to 15 years of prison, which is way too little if you ask me.

That is just wrong. People like that should never have kids. I believe that it's a right to make babies, but I also think that there should be some kind of rules when having babies. But it's complicated, cause people with poor economy can be great parents, while the richer can be lousy parents. And people can change too.. I'm kinda torn when it comes to that. Anyways, come on. What is this world becoming. As I told Lars when he said he was learning about politics one day in school, I just said "The world is evil, and nobody knows what they're doing. That's that". And that is that.

I hope I get to really sleep out tomorrow, I need it. Not that I've been getting up that early this week, but I'm exhausted for some reason I still don't know.. bah.
