As always, I watched the news this morning before I went to school. You know the bomb that supposedly shuts off all electricity/communication? They don't want to use it unless they have to. NO, THEY PREFER TO USE THEIR M.O.A.B. (or whatever) THAT HAS MORE FORCE THAN A SMALL ATOMIC ONE ( Read more... )

I never said the only reason for war was oil, but no one can ever convince me that it isn't mainly about revenge. Bush has said so many times that we need to take action because of the lives lost in September. No one cares about Iraq UNTIL we're attacked. As my History teacher says, "Countries will not act, only react to what they feel is in their best interest." You can make up reasons about love and peace, but war does not bring on peace, it just brings on more war and more attacks.

EVERYONE agrees that Saddam needs to be put out of power. This is why I said in this post that I was hoping at least something good would come from it. But how does the ends justify the means? Does killing civilians in a war that may not have the proper result make us any better than him? No one cares that we have weapons, but Bush has proven himself inadequate to handle them by deliberately attacking a country while continuously mentioning, "LOOK WHAT THE TERRORISTS DID TO OUR COUNTRY1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1" and with "We are going to bring peace. With war. THAT'S RIGHT. We have no guarentee that we won't be counter-attacked, but the important part is that we will win, even though it will result in 10,000 innocent lives, THEY'LL HAVE A BETTER GOVERNMENT! But see, we're giving them a bunch of food, so that justifies everything 100%."
