So finals are over for me. I had a very all-over-place semester.

There was nothing out of the ordinary about my classes but I really enjoyed them. I took French, Statistics, Sociology, and Earth Literacy, all with some pretty cool professors.
I learned how to ride a bike (yes, I never learned) in order to be able to go to Shark Valley in the Everglades for a class. It was so awesome and I must go back. A big thanks to Kristen for teaching me and then lending me her sister's bike.

The Model UN really made it to the Harvard National Model United Nations after a long struggle to convince Student Life to fund us and many fundraisers. I'm so proud of everyone in the club. I didn't really want to aim for it after last year's disapointment, but everyone pitched in to stay focused and enthusiatic. It was a combination of good ideas and the heart to do it that got us there.
In a way going to a community college has its disadvanges, the Model UN at FIU doesnt have to worry about money or who's going to train them, but doing it ourselves gave us such a feeling of accomplishment for something that others might take for granted.

and ..

Graduation!!!!

PRESIDENT BUSH IS THE GUEST SPEAKER.

I strongly dislike that there's a protest planned for that day, and I strongly urge anyone planning to attend to please not do so.
Nevermind the president and his policies, think about us, the graduates. This isn't Yale, the man is doing us an honor by attending. This is only the second time in freaking history that the President of the US has attended a community college graduation. I don't know what made him come but he is. It's supposed to be a special day and a protest could significantly complicate it.

lol I was talking to Prof. Cox, one of our history professors, and he was like "So we agree. Funerals, weddings, and graduations.. not appropriate places for a protest."

On a more peronal note, I got back together with Aaron and broke up again. It's weird. The way some things come and go. I don't trust my feelings anymore. We think we know what we want but we dont. We assume everything would be better "if", but we really dont know that.
This should depress me, but it calms my spirit instead.

Which reminds me of an episode of Angels in America, the HBO special. One of the guys was really confused about what he should do concerning his partner, and while turning to the guy's mother for advice he repeats over and over in the confusion I just don't know what I want, I dont know what I want. and she said to him:

"What you "want" comes and goes. To keep a steady pace you have to go by what you believe."

Tis true.

Okie then. Good Day, live journal world. I got a novela to watch. (u didnt hear that)
