Yeah, soooo..it's been three months. Sorry.
Back at school, I have great classes with some famous-ass professors. I work 30 hours a week and go to school full-time, and still manage to have some fun almost every night.  Next semester I only have 2 classes I have to take, and unfortunately almost every class I WANT to take conflicts with the time of the one of those two which is set in stone (the other is my independent study thesis project).
Speaking of thesis, I'll be writing it with either Dr. Akbar Ahmed or Dr. Christine Chin as my mentor.  Holy crap.  Listen to NPR?  Yeah, that's them.  I'll be writing NOT on the topic I researched thoroughly and about which I prepared an original idea (this was dismissed because I would be doing graduate or professional level writing, and noone would mentor me because it wasn't their specific area, therefore they didn't feel qualified to supervise a project of that nature? I dunno, piss me off.), but on another topic of reasonable interest.  I'll be writing about threat culture and its relation to the mainstreaming of minority cultures, especialy punk culture.
As for living situation, I live essentially in Ross-kun's closet in a ridiculously awesome shit-hole of a house.  I really like all my roommates, and it's been a really fun semester, especially the first-half before Andrew departed for Vietnam.
After graduation this year I'll be flying to Vietnam to meet Andrew and R-K, and from there we'll depart on the product of an online discussion between me and Ross-kun, entitled "What's the most bat-shit off-the-wall thing we could do in Asia."  We'll be hitch-hiking from Vietnam to Pakistan, or perhaps New Delhi.  After that I'll probably return to Saigon with Andrew and we'll open a bar, or perhaps I'll just completely vanish for a period of time before graduate school.
I need to get out of here.
Alright, i intend to better chronicle my adventures, because we do have a lot of them.  As soon as I can get youtube to post a video of mine without unsynching the audio and the video I'll post it all for you to see.
Lastly, say what you want about Mao Ze-Dong, but he wrote incredibly beautiful calligraphy.

it says "中华人民共和国各民族团结起来," or "People of the People's Republic of  China of every ethnicity, rise up together united!"  But holy crap is it gorgeous.
