Yesterday was graduation at my school, and my brother was getting his doctorate, so we of course went to the ceremony. So I got to see the seniors from the team graduate too. And then we went to a picnic afterwards. And then to a party at one of the guys' houses...and then we moved some of the party to one of the boys' parents' house. It was a wonderful day, just hanging out with people all day long. I've forgotten how nice it is to be around guys who are only slightly drunk. All I get lately is sober or dead sloshed. And buzzed is totally the best, because you can have a conversation with them, but they will still be rather friendly and silly and affectionate. I gathered up lots of hugs, including one Lenny-style hug from one of the guys. You guys don't know Lenny, but he is a very sketchy sort of guy that I know. And he will hit on any girl. And he is nice enough and actually kinda cute, but....he is just weeeeird. But anyway, whenever he gives me a hug, he gives me a biiig huge hug and then sort of pulls back but he'll keep his arm around me and stay real close for a lil bit. So, getting that sort of hug from non-sketchy guys is *very* enjoyable. Yaayy.
Great, I have a sudden urge to make something, and it's 1 in the morning. I don't want to start any projects now. Guh!
I went to Borders and Barnes and Noble the other day to see about applying. Picked up an app from B&N and at Borders they said to apply online. And then my mom was supposed to buy me a couple books since she didn't have time to buy me and my brother any for Easter, so we figured we'd do that then. So I went and grabbed Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen. I'd been waiting for them to both come out in paperback, but they've been that for a while now and I hadn't got them yet, so now I have them.
I've only gotten a little ways through T.C. so far, probably not even halfway, so it's hard to know what I think. I haven't gotten into it yet as much as the others, so right now, I don't like it as well as any of Tammy's Tortallan quartets. It's just hard because the setting is different than what I'm used to, suddenly it's all Copper Isles and all this. But it's still been a good read, and by now I know Tammy's writing well enough that I'm sure by the time I'm like 2/3 of the way done, I'll knock it all off in one sitting cuz I'll be so into it by then. I hope we get to see more of Daine and Numair than we have so far though. But Daine is havin' a lil baby! YAY! Awwww so cute.
Can't wait till the LOST finale. Almost there! I hope there is more Charlie/Claire cuteness.
