Crochet and Me
I'm trying to learn how to crochet again. I haven't tried to knit or crochet in about 12 years sooo I'm pretty much learning from scratch again. Unfortunately, I don't like to work on most "beginner" projects so I am trying to follow patterns for cute toys or accessories. I'm really bad at it but it's pretty fun. I made something that resembles a catnip mouse and a very sad-looking piece of toast. It is awesome! I have one more activity to distract me on the many many days that I don't have anything to do.
It's really weird to be so bad at something though. I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I'm still trying to accept that most of my attempts will have to be re-sewn a bunch of times aaand that the end product won't actually look quite the way it should. The fact that I'm having fun makes it a lot easier.
P.S. I think I should go see the movie Bridemaids tonight! I've wanted to see it since I saw the previews months ago
