Actually...I did but I didnt think you wanted to hear my version of it:
yes it was under warranty, but the service advisor had to take time to call in the claim.
The tech got pissed that it was now warranty instead of 'customer pay' (which pays almost DOUBLE)....
he fiddle-farted around in the parts department getting your temp sensor.
Got back to his stall, fucked around for a bit longer.
Forgot to 'clock in' on the ticket - so he 'clocked in' and THEN fixed it....
then he realized he broke something else!
Debated on telling the service advisor or not...went ahead and told him! LOL!
Then they had to go tell you, mind you, he doesnt WANT you to have to get a rental car cause that is more work for him...
he would have had to call the warranty company again to see if he could get the rental covered now (by LYING and saying that they had to order the part and it will be here tomorrow)so he doesnt have to go EXPLAIN to his boss why he had to authorize $30 to come out of his pocket....
I bet that sums it up? Wanna really tick him off as a payback? Ask him if they are going to AT LEAST wash the car for all your trouble....
I already got the car back...but the last time I had a dealership wash my car they ripped half my pinstripe off one side...when I asked them just to remove the entire pinstripe they said that it was under warrenty and they wouldn't do that..... so I had to wait while they called some guy with what looked like a container of rubber cement and a pinstripe 'gun' to come fix the part that was gone.
