a little delayed, but here's a 2005 survey:


1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
I completed a whole semester in college....last year I only had 2 classes. Also, I went to Hawaii.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never made any last year. I made 2 for this year though, 1. I will try to not get disgustingly drunk anymore and 2. I will try to not take things too seriously. I have a problem with that.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
my sister

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No

5. What countries did you visit?
Nothing outside of the US

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
a new job, definitely. and a new car.

7. What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
my nephew's birthday

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting on the dean's list, keeping a job for over a year(a record for me), having an amazing summer, paying off my first car

9. What was your biggest failure?
I can't really think of any.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nah, just a couple colds

11. What was the best thing you bought?
my car

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
mine of course, as well as all of my friends and family.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
No one who is worth mentioning ;)

14. Where did most of your money go?
food and clothing. and my car

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
HAWAII and my sister having her first baby, six flags, 3 years with my boyfriend ;). so many fucking things

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2005?
Atmosphere - "It Goes". or, pretty much ANYTHING by Atmosphere

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?
happier, definitely
b) thinner or fatter?
fatter I think
c) richer or poorer?
possibly a little bit richer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
gone on more vactions with Fran

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
work. but we all know that's not possible

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent it at my house, then at my cousin's with the fam

22. Did you fall in love in 2005?
I've been in love throughout 2005

23. How many one-night stands?
None

24. What was your favourite TV program?
Queer as Folk, which ended :(, and Weeds

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Oh, probably. I wouldn't say hate because I don't hate anybody, but dislike sounds good.

26. What was the best book you read?
definitely Wasted by Marya Hornbacher. wow.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Rilo Kiley and Damien Rice

28. What did you want and get?
Many things

29. What did you want and not get?
to go to that one Atmosphere show :(

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Crash. and if it wasn't from this year, it was the best film I've seen for the first time this year

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 19, I spent time with my mom then I went to Fran's for his sister's grad party, then I was taken to my friend Aimee's house where my friends threw a suprise party for me. it was the best.

32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
having my own apartment. or being 21

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
Jeans, as always. cute tank tops, and lots of hats and sweaters

34. What kept you sane?
Fran

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
he's not a celebrity, but SLUG from Atmosphere, definitely

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I've learned to ignore them! it makes me happier. who cares if I have no idea what is going on politically anyway, I have proof that nothing I do can change it

37. Who did you miss?
MY SISTER

38. Who was the best new person you met?
wow, I bet I've met more people this year than any other year

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
Ignore people who bother you; eventually they go away. Tell the people who you love that you love them, and tell them a lot. you'll regret it later if you don't.
