Vinatge(vin·tage)- Length of existence; age.
I am sometimes frightened to think that corperations such as
Abercrombie and Fitch, can get away with simply ripping a pair of jeans
mechanically, bleeching them, and basically putting the poor deniem
products through hell, then labeling them as 'vintage' maybe put a
patch or two on it, and they sell them for 80$ and up. Maybe it's not
so much that they try to fool us, but the fact that we actually pay for
a pair of pre-damaged jeans, really makes me question our intellegence
as a species. You go to other countries and you can find those same
jeans, in the 75% off rack, because they're ripped, but no us
intellegent American's pay EXTRA for that special hole in the thigh.
Very attractive, I must say.
I'm sorry Abercrombie, and Fitch too.
But no.
vintage is what you find in our ancestor's closets.
not what you pay hundreds of dollars for.
next time you want vintage, go to the salvation army, or you're grandparents closet.
and even though I do hve a pair of ripped jeans, I most certinly did not go out and pay 80$, mine were on sale for 20$, and they were hott because they had slver. :]
thanks.
