Molly's rocks
So we went to Molly's last night and it rocked! Myself and Dave went with the new Americans and we met Alicia and housemates there. The drink was flying into us and the music was excellent. I requested some AC/DC and instead of playing something obvious like Back In Black or Highway To Hell he played the lesser-known Thunderstruck, which was really cool. So later myself and Dave kept asking him to play Toto's Hold The Line but he wouldn't, cos he's a prick. We asked for Boston's More Than A Feeling and he was like "Lads, you're taking the piss, right?" so I said "Noooo! Look around you, everyone here's drunk! They'll love it!" and Dave added "Come on, it'd be funny!" Anyway, he didn't play it.
When we got home we were mad for Toto so I turned my speakers up to 11 and played The Strem Collection - Toto, Boston, Whitesnake and... The Waherford Song! So the new Americans are now familiar with Justin's songwriting talents and were duly impressed! Myself and Dave finally were drunk enough to ask Shannan what the story is with spelling her name, leading to lots of teasing and extensive web searches. She eventually, at 4am, found one website that listed her name as being a real name! Her explanation as to the difference in meaning between Shannan and Shannon seemed plausible but one must wonder how Irish parents would spell it 'wrongly'!
I got up for my 9am lecture!!! Wonders will never cease. I came home 2 hours later, after the shortest meeting in history, and went to sleep until the next lect.
