mmm, it's been some time since I've written in this thing. This may or may not be a big post, let's see where this typey thing I'm mashing on, takes us!
When I last left you, I was enjoying the single life somewhat... and neglecting a woman that loved me. Since then, she left me, and I went on to enjoy the single life somewhat all while kicking myself and missing her. I was dating like I hadn't done in about 4 years... by dating, I actually mean: being a slut. But, those days are over!
After slutfest 2006 ended, I went to Iraq... Besides working 14 hour days and it being as hot as... well ... as hot as fking Iraq in springtime... it was awesome. I met some really great people and had some amazing times in a shitty situation. The people I met had a lot to do with that. We would get one day off every 7 days, and we made the most of it. We would go to this awesome outdoor pool, we would go see movies at the rec center, we would play basketball. Good times really. The food was amazing as well, and if there is one thing that really boosted my morale in Iraq, it would have to be the food. You could get as much as you wanted, and keeping going back, and you could get some for there, and take some with you... It reminded me of Nam, what with there being no rules an all.. inside the chow hall anyway ;D
I probably lost some of you there, but that is okay. Speaking of vietnam, I hooked up with a vietnamese girl when I was in iraq, and she was crazy...
Moving along.
It wasn't always great over there, and sometimes I had to work in the hospital and you could really see wtf was going down over there, and it was fucked up. Sometimes I would miss home, and miss my friends and just get lonely when I was surrounded by people. I got a package from my friend Alvin while I was in Iraq, and it was great, and it just so happened to come at a time where I was feeling down... this guy sent me everything that you could ever want in a package.. It didn't only lift my spirits, but it lifted the spirits of the other 6 guys I bunked with... It was probably the highlight of the deployment, besides meeting Irene. Thank you to everyone that wrote to me while I was gone, I really appreciated it. People make fun of others for meeting people on the internet, but my closest friends from back home never wrote to me while I was gone, and about 5 people I met online did... what does that tell you? :D
So eventually it was our turn to leave that place, and even though I am in the "World's Greatest Air Force" They had trouble getting us out. We had to sleep in the damn rec center for 4 days... it was disgusting and shitty and the best time of my life (not literally, but it was pretty cool). I met this woman who was very cute and had an awesome laugh, and even though she was put in this craptacular situation, she was having fun. She wasn't bitching about stuff, even though she DID want to get back home and see her son. She was dealing with it, and making it better for the people that were around her. Her name is Irene. :D So we hung out, along with 3 of my other friends and pretty much spent every shitty-awesome moment together. So 4 days to get out of Iraq, and on that 4th day we caught a C130 out to Qatar, which is somewhat like a... well no, it actually is a cargo plane lol. It was bumpy and hot, until we hit 40k ft and then the sweat turned into ICE, WTF! I was freezing gdamn it. Irene fell asleep on my shoulder and I was pretty sure at that moment, that I wasn't just going to hook up with this girl. She was special. (not b/c of the drool) Long story short... this was 7 months ago, and Irene just moved in with me last week, and I couldn't be happier.
Since then.. well.. now I'm tired of typing... umm I'll go fast :D
-I tested for promotion, and made it.
-I went to San Fransisco and had an amazing time, thanks to Messy, Alvin and Jen!
-I was distinguished grad from Airman Leadership School
-I took Irene skiing for her first time last week and she did really good
-I'm getting ready to move to Colorado... I'm SUPER EXCITED YAH!! Alvin is gonna help me not get screwed buyin a house too, I hopes!
-I tried to quit the addiction that is FFXI, but b/c of my online friends, I had to come back... even if I hardly play.
man, now I'm really tired of typing...there's more, but I'm done.
Happy Holidays. Be safe please.
