"Most people have heard of an association between Aluminum and the development of Alzheimer's, although a causal connection seems unlikely. Brain concentrations of aluminum in people with Alzheimer's exceed normal brain concentrations by some 10 to 30 times, but blood and hair aluminum remains normal, indicating that the accumulation is caused by something in the brain itself, not by an overload of aluminum in the body. Thus the high brain aluminum most be at least partly a result, rather than a cause, of Alzheimer's."
