About the girls
I think I'm starting to "get" the whole Regina Spektor thing. Alicia Keys, no. As my friend said she sings about ordinary thing, and plus, her voice is not that great! I don't think Regi is a marvelous singer in terms of the vocal sense...but this is it:
she's quirky as hell.. I think she's doing basically what anyone would want to be doing if they were sitting at a piano, untrained, and just wanting to bang shit out (some Fiona Apple songs are like that, too.) Regina's accent is endearing, and I like her occasional wordplay.
she's pretty, but not in the Heidi Klum-typical sense of pretty. and that's refreshing.
and.. I love this icon:

Story of my life, haha :p makes me feel a little better to know a stage performer feels the same way.
Speaking of other girls, PJ Harvey is releasing a new album very soon. Probably next year! I am so excited.. because it will include piano. I do think she's one of my favorite artists, even if I don't feel like I know her... lyrics like "I feel like I've just been born..." are just so raw and true to me....And piano--that is the instrument. Here are a couple tour photos :)
