Bored, so random Twilight rant and random crossover thing.

I have four hours until my next class starts. One of my teachers has jury duty so I don't have medical terminology today. I just had an Anatomy test and I have Computer Applications, that's it. At least tomorrow I get to go home early, but for now I'm stuck here.

Plus there's some sort of bug going around campus. Everyone is sneezing and sniffling...including me. It's annoying.

Oh and Twilight? Is really getting on my nerves. I think if left alone I would have forgotten that book. It's boring and more than a bit stupid, but I would have just shurgged and moved on. What's annoying me is that I can't seem to go anywhere on the internet without seeing someone gushing about Twilight. I'm getting so very tired to the fans that go 'OMG IT'S THE BEST THING EVAR!!!!111'. Worse is when they think Twilight is soooo original. Have they ever read any other books? Bella is a stereotypical romance herione. She needs a big strong man to protect her, can't do anything without Edward, and she even faints when she's in danger.

Actually, if taken alone, Bella isn't that bad of a character. She does have her faults, like being a bit shallow and hypocritical, but Stephanie Meyer didn't use of those faults or even act like they are faults. She made everyone else see Bella as pefect and sooo beautiful. That is where the sue factor comes in. Plus, Bella wasn't described just because Stephnie Myer wanted girls to pretend they were Bella. Umm...is that why so little of her personality is shown? So that girls can pretend they have a hot vampire stalking them?

I'm heard these books called 'escapist fantasy' and 'girly-girl romance'. Apparently this is why, according to Twilight fans, we shouldn't take the books seriously or think about them to much. A book we aren't suppose to think about. Isn't that the point of books? To get us to think?

I really have no problem with the people who read the books, like them, but admit they are fluff with very little substance and aren't the peak of literature. We all like different things, and that's fine. But when the teenage fans start squealing about how deep and dark the books are I want to headdesk. Deep? Dark? Hah. Twiligh is a million romance cliches thrown into a blender with fluff, purple prose, rainbows and, of course, sparkles. I never got the feeling Bella was actually in danger in any of the books. You always knew Edward would come swooping in all his sparkliness to save the day. There was no suspense at all. Even at the end, when she had to leave her 'normal' life behind to become a vampire, that didn't make me sad. Maybe I would have felt something if all the 'normal' people, including Bella's parents, who really didn't seem to care about her that much, weren't cardbord cut-outs only used to show how awesome Bella, the Cullens and the werewolves were in comparison.

What really scares me though, is all the girls who think Edward is hot. Do they really want an undead stalker that much? He sneaks into her room at night to watch her sleep, follows her around with out her permission, and at one point takes the engine from her car. But it's okay! Because he loves her and is hot so things like that are forgiven! I'm scared for the future of the world if girls actually think things like tht are okay.

One last thing then I swear I'll stop...something is seriously wrong with Bella. Yes, teenagers are prove to being overly dramatic but I don't think that's what Meyer was thinking when she wrote about Bella dropping into such a deep depression after Edward leaves that she doesn't remember anything she did for three months. And after she starts to recover, Bella starts to do dangerous things just to hear Edwards voice in her head.

......

Am I the only one that thinks it sounds like Bella has some major psychological issues?

Wow, that got long. Sorry for any spelling mistakes I missed. I was typing fast and the school computers don't have spellcheck.

Anyway...random crackcross over.

Title: Sparkles
Word Count: 329
Characters: Hades, Hypnos, Thanatos, Seiya, Shun, Ikki, Athena
Authors note: Demi-Twilight crossover thing. Bella seems to love comparing Edward to a Greek God and at one point as I was reading it, I suddenly had am image in my mind of Bella gushing over Hades from Saint Seiya....which is an amusing image in and of itself considering how Hades would react...but anyway, that inspired this thing.
Summary: There is a reason Hades dislikes the sun...

Hades loomed menacingly over the Bronze Saints, sword raised. This time he would succeeded in creating the greatest eclipse and plunging the earth into darkness for eternity! It would become an extension of him his realm…and that was the one and only reason he was doing this. To expand his realm. The only reason he was trying to block out the sun.

“Ahahahaha…!” Hades twitched. Well, he would do that as soon as Pegasus stopped laughing long enough to actually finish the fight. He knew it had been a mistake to step out into the sunlight, he just knew this would happen, it always did…! “H..he…” Pegasus wheezed, “he sparkles!”

Hades pretended to ignore that. But he had to admit that having your skin sparkle like diamond when you stepped out into natural sunlight was unbefitting of a god. How was anyone suppose to take him seriously as the God of the Underworld like this? It didn’t look very…godly at all! There was a reason he didn’t come up to the living world much.

“Quiet Pegasus!” He growled to the boy. “This time things will not end like before! I am going to destroy you!”

“That doesn’t sound nearly as menacing when it looks like you’ve been rolling around in glitter.” Another of the Saints, Phoenix, snickered Hades turned to glare at him which caused his former vessel to try and shush his brother.

“Cease this useless talk!” He snapped at last. “This time Athena, we will defeat you!”

“We?” That was Phoenix again. Hades paused and turned around.

“What are you two doing over there!?” He snapped at Hypnos and Thanatos who were suppose have been standing next to him but where hovering in the shade of a building instead.

“We assumed you would be able to handle these insects by yourself my Lord,” Thanatos said. Hades didn’t believe him.

“Get over here,” he ordered. The twin gods looked at each other.

“Must we?” Hypnos sighed.

“NOW!”

Both gods sighed and stepped out into the sun…and there was a fresh wave of laughter from the Saints as they to started to sparkle as well. He could even swore he heard his niece giggling over it. He twitched again. Yes, this has nothing to do with him why he wanted to blot out the sun. Nope, not connected to it at all.

I actully have another plotbunny that would be a real crossover; Bella is really the reincarnation of Aphrodite. She isn't aware of what she is, but her powers are still active and making everyone around her pay attenion to her. And the vampires were created by Aphrodite so she wouldn't have to have ugly humans as warriors. The sparkles are because she was into diamonds when she created them.

....If anyone can give me a quote of Bella comparing Edward to a Greek god I would appricate it. I have a plotbunny, but I really don't want to dig through those books again.

sparkles, hades, twilight, ikki, fics, seiya, rants, drabbles, shun
