I got the framework of the first "wall" of my veggie enclosure assembled today. No fencing on it yet; I'll do that once I get all the frames made. It occurred to me at one point: I used to collect drill bits like some women collect shoes. You can never have too many, ha ha.
Meanwhile, here are the plants inside the greenhouse:
Great colors, but they're not as big as the ones which were, until recently, down in the basement
:
These are on a rack outside the greenhouse, with a thin plastic sheet over top to keep them from getting fried.
Lastly, a pic of one of the Smartpots with baby lettuces and arugula planted:
Dinner is already made, just waiting in the fridge before going into the oven. Tomorrow should be a rough day, given that I've been "blessed" with a two-hour cashing shift after working in pricing all day. I need to fine-tune my availability, so as to prevent that from happening again.
When I purchased the fencing and necessary hardware yesterday, I also got some rat traps. Senor Whiskers has been around. I talked with Betty, our neighbor who gardens extensively also. She trapped and killed three babies this past month, so at least the next generation has been stymied, for now.
