Here's a daytime shot of the kitchen. I love this room. The window faces south, so during the day, if the sun is out, it's sublime in there.
Secondly, a closeup of two of the hanging light fixtures over the kitchen island. I made them from rabbit screening made into a tube, and attached to one half of an old fashioned toilet tank float, the copper type. I don't even know if they make them any more. The fixtures make me laugh. Two have graphic designs embedded in the screening using heat-hardened clay. The middle one has a "skirt" of window screening pleated and attached to diffuse the light.
